Resource Sharing

Connecting statewide stakeholders to resources available throughout Maine.

Key Issues

The resources required to work in the animal welfare field are numerous – supplies, funds, training, etc. While there are many available to further this life-saving work, often there are hurdles inhibiting utilization of them. These can include a lack of awareness, infrastructure, or collaboration. With innovation and determination, we can increase access.

Our Goals

  • Collect data to identify available resources and needs so they can be effectively matched
  • Create infrastructure and improve communication among organizations to efficiently share resources and move animals within the state
  • Establish a storage hub to allow for the acceptance of large donations and distribution lines to pet food pantries
