Jenn Danks is the Community Services Manager at the Animal Welfare Society (AWS) located in Kennebunk, Maine. She has been with AWS for 8 years holding several coordinator and manager positions in the organization during those years.

Jenn’s passion for animal welfare started over two decades ago when she started volunteering with a national rescue group by assisting with transportation, adoptions and fundraising. During her time in South Carolina, Jenn worked for two different county based humane societies developing operational practices and community engagement.

Jenn’s current position at AWS is centered in developing and securing resources for the organization. She oversees the mission-based Stay@Home program which is intended to offer assistance when hardship happens for pet owners in the community by keeping pets in their homes. This innovative program offers a suite of services including veterinary care, temporary sheltering, pet food resources and behavioral assistance.

Jenn lives in southern Maine with her dog Sheena and enjoys every opportunity to get out in nature.
